With over 17 years of extensive experience in Health Information Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Disease Surveillance, Emergency Response, and Project Management within the Ghana Health Care Delivery System and World Health Organization (WHO) at all three levels of the organization (i.e Country, Regional, and Headquarters). Mr. Sackey was working in the Northern Regional Health Directorate of Ghana Health Service when he was transferred to this college in September 2014 as a Health Tutor. He holds MSc in Statistics, MA in Ministry, BSc (Hons) in Economics and Statistics, HND in Statistics, and as well a trained Public Health Specialist (Health Data and Information option) and possesses a unique blend of analytical prowess and practical expertise in Health Data Management. He is a PhD (Statistics) Candidate, and his research is focusing on developing statistical models for predicting the risk of mother-to-child transmission of HIV in Ghana at Tali Graduate School, Dominion University College, Accra. His skill set encompasses data collection, analysis, and reporting, along with proficiency in statistical tools such as R, SPSS, and STATA, as well as Geographical Information System (GIS) tools like Tableau, ArcGIS, and QGIS. He has two publications as lead author and collaborated with prestigious institutions like the Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluation at the University of Washington, USA for several publications. He again contributed to the publication of the 2016 and 2017 Health Sector Facts and Figures reports in Ghana. He has undertaken several consultancies for the World Health Organization in the area of Immunization and Vaccine Preventable Disease, Disease Surveillance and Response, Air Quality Index Assessment, and COVID-19 Response. He is currently on the roster of consultants for immunization and vaccine-preventable diseases for the WHO South-East Asian Region, and Air Quality Health Statistics for WHO Headquarters in Geneva. He has supported the development of several reports and guidelines during his association with WHO. Mr. Sackey is also currently undergoing his Theological Education by Extension at Trinity Theological Seminary, Legon-Accra, and a Minister-on-Trial. He is expected to be commissioned into the Ordained Ministry of the Methodist Church Ghana in June 2024.
